Last week I was honored to lead Banjo to pray for God’s mercy.
Today I was honored to see Banjo return to our Church for the Homeless and hear him tell me how he collected an unexpected debt from a guy, and set off immediately to the store for a cold beer, a lifelong habit.
While walking to the store, however, Banjo experienced a new thing. A voice in his mind reminded him of his commitment to God’s ways now. Instead of going to the store, he stopped and got a cold milkshake.
That milkshake was the best he ever had, and satisfied like never before.
Banjo walked back to the Rescue Mission proud of himself for the first time in a too long time. He believes he can make it in a new life now.
Reminding him that God’s word says whenever we belong to Christ, “we become new creations, the old man has passed away…” I told Banjo he had just qualified for a new life by his faith and trust.
I offered him a place in our Christian Men’s Training Center, where we will get him a job, get him clothed, well fed, well rested, and help him get back in the game of life, paying “Taxes and Tithes” with honor.
Banjo gave his word to become the new creation God wanted, although highly suspicious of our taking him in off the streets with nothing to offer until and unless he gets a job. After arriving at the Center, he was shown
his room in a very nice apartment complex (provided for our ministry by a great Christian supporter) and it began to set in with him, that our Christian Men’s Discipleship Training Center was first class beyond his wildest expectations…again, thanks to YOUR support.

Banjo is now outfitted with a closet full of clothes, dressed to the hilt, and will be leaving shortly with me and the men in our Training Center to go to Church, to Praise God from whom ALL Blessings Flow…
Pray for Banjo please. Will you also pray for this ministry 1 minute weekly each and every week? Will you forward this to your entire email list and ask your friends and families to please become “Minutemen” for this ministry, as “Minutemen” that pray just 1 minute ever week for thisministry is our lifeblood and oxygen that keeps us serving the Homeless.
We need jobs, clothes, cars, funding for these Homeless who really want and deserve help…particularly these Homeless War Veterans like Banjo.
We need good clothing for our New Creations to look the part! Our Clothing bus below is in constant need of MEN’S CLOTHING. Karrie Cherry from The Bridge Fellowship in Mt Juliet, and BJ Christopher from The Church at Indian Lake in Hendersonville, join 2 ladies from Donelson View Baptist Church in Nashville to sort and organize these clothes on our Clothing bus, so they can find their size items in a 4 minute shopping spree. They must move quickly, because we often clothe 100+ Homeless men and women after our Church Services and Banquet Lunch.
